Walking Dead, Season 3, Episode 2 “Sick”

Image

Crazy motherfucker Glen rushes past a small gang of armed inmates to help save his girlfriend’s father.

Man I was hoping they’d just leave those inmates to succumb to their stupidity and go all “prison riot” on all those walkers. Would have saved them the trouble of clearing a cell block, and garnered them a lot more food.

Then that younger inmate runs off. Rick could have just let him run off and get bitten. Instead, he runs after the kid as if he’s trying to save his life. But when the kid walks into a courtyard full of walkers, Rick locks the kid in there to get bitten. What the hell was the point of running after him in the first place?

I dont get it. Why is Rick being so emotionally vindictive to his wife?

More badassery from Glen…

Loved the scene where he stomped on a walker’s back, and stabbed it through the head. It would have been great if he was this  badass from the beginning, but if he was, he might have had further to fall, as Rick’s character has. Instead, we see Glen growing. For him, the only way is up from here.

The premiere episode also featured the debut of the character Michonne, a katana-wielding, zombie-towing sorceress portrayed by Danai Gurira. Totally badass. Tough as nails, and nurturing at the same time, in a way that Rick is not with Lori.

AWESOME ASIAN BAD GUYSImage

From the kickstarter page:

When we were growing up in the 80’s and 90’s, we’d always see hard-hitting Asian bad guys in flicks like Die Hard, Bloodsport, and Karate Kid 2. These badasses were often cooler than the heroes they fought, but they’d usually have a 2-minute lifespan before they were mortally wounded or beaten to a pulp. It really sucked that you barely saw them on screen and rarely got to know them. That got us thinking…
How cool would it be to expand upon this largely ignored slice of pop culture history by following several Asian bad guys on their own action-packed adventures?
Incredibly cool, right? So we’re making it – AWESOME ASIAN BAD GUYS!
